2026-66 & 2026-67: Two Monday callouts

Incident: Monday 3rd August 2026 (Evening and late evening)

2026-66: Dovedale – Search for reported casualty

The team was called following a report of a 21-year-old man who had fallen down a bank in Dovedale, believed to be around five minutes from the car park.

With limited information available, team members carried out a search of the area on foot while the team's drone section provided an aerial overview.

Despite searching the area around the car park and surrounding ground, no casualty could be located. Following discussions with West Midlands Ambulance Service, the team was stood down.

2026-67: Black Rocks – Medical emergency

Later that evening, shortly after returning from Dovedale, the team was called again to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a 16-year-old who was suffering a medical emergency at Black Rocks.

EMAS was already on scene and initially requested assistance with evacuating the casualty. Once team members arrived, it became clear that additional casualty care and equipment would be required before the evacuation could take place.

Working alongside EMAS, the casualty was cared for before being evacuated from the crag area and transferred to the waiting ambulance for onward transport to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

With vehicles and equipment returned to base, the last team members finally headed home shortly after midnight.
