Incident: Saturday 7th November 2026 (Afternoon)
Derby Mountain Rescue Team was called to Dovedale following reports of a lady who had injured her ankle after slipping near Lover's Leap.
The walker had initially attempted to continue along the path but found the pain too severe to bear weight and was unable to walk any further.
Team members located the casualty a short way upstream of the Dovedale Stepping Stones, where they provided casualty care alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service personnel and one of the team's doctors.
With the casualty unable to continue on foot, the team arranged for her to be transported in a mountain rescue vehicle, crossing the river at the ford before transferring her to a waiting West Midlands Ambulance Service ambulance near the Stepping Stones.
