Incident: Sunday 1st November 2026 (Afternoon)
Derby Mountain Rescue Team was called to Thor's Cave following reports of a 19-year-old man who had fallen and sustained a head injury.
The casualty had briefly lost consciousness following the fall. Team members attended alongside a Community First Responder and West Midlands Ambulance Service personnel.
Following assessment and treatment at the scene, the casualty was secured onto our specialist mountain rescue stretcher and evacuated to the waiting ambulance.
He was subsequently transported to hospital in Stoke for further assessment and treatment.
