> Incident: Friday 16th October 2026 (Afternoon)

The team was called following reports of a male walker who had tripped and fallen while walking near Harp Edge, in the Via Gellia area of Cromford.

The walker had landed on his right side, sustaining an injury to his right ankle and a cut to the bridge of his nose.

Two of the team's doctors assessed and treated the casualty at the scene. His injured ankle was immobilised in a vacuum splint before he was kept warm and secured onto our specialist mountain rescue stretcher.

Team members then carried the casualty to the waiting East Midlands Ambulance Service crew, who transported him to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
