> Incident: Sunday 19th July 2026 (Afternoon)
On arrival, it became clear there were actually two casualties, a couple visiting from Scotland, who had ventured out of the West Window before slipping onto steep ground below. Although uninjured, they were unable to find a safe route back and called the police for assistance.
As the team was making its way to the incident, the pair managed to climb back up the steep slope and return to the cave, where they contacted the police to say they were safe.
A Derby Mountain Rescue Team member who was already in the area spoke with the walkers, confirmed they were uninjured and that no further assistance was required. The team was stood down.
