Skyline 2026

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in this year's Matlock Skyline Challenge, helping to raise over £5,000 for Derby Mountain Rescue Team.

Around 160 participants set out on either the Full Skyline or Half Skyline routes, taking on the demanding climbs, trails and spectacular scenery of the Derbyshire Dales. Whether walking, jogging or running, everyone who crossed the start line helped support our volunteer search and rescue service.

The Matlock Skyline isn't a race—it's a personal challenge. Participants are encouraged to complete the route at their own pace, enjoying the countryside while raising vital funds that help keep our team operational.

As a charity, Derby Mountain Rescue Team relies entirely on donations and fundraising. Every pound raised helps us train our volunteers, maintain specialist rescue equipment, operate our rescue vehicles and remain ready to respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
