The team was contacted by Derbyshire Police to provide water rescue assistance following reports of a person in the River Derwent at Darley Abbey.
Whilst confirming the team's availability to attend, Derby Mountain Rescue Team was stood down as sufficient specialist resources were already in attendance.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young man who tragically lost his life.
