The team was called to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service following reports of a 19-year-old male who had tumbled a considerable distance on the path below Reynard's Cave in Dovedale.

The casualty was assessed and treated on scene by Derby Mountain Rescue Team members and an EMICS doctor. Due to the mechanism of the fall, he was immobilised in a vacuum mattress before being loaded onto a team stretcher.

The casualty was carried from the scene to Dovedale Car Park, where he was transferred to a waiting East Midlands Ambulance Service ambulance for onward transport to the Royal Derby Hospital. The team stood down later that afternoon.
