The team was called to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service following reports of a female who had fallen in woodland near the Nine Ladies Stone Circle on Stanton Moor.
The casualty was assessed and treated on scene by an EMICS doctor, East Midlands Ambulance Service, an EMAS HART team and Derby Mountain Rescue Team members.
Due to the nature of the injury, the casualty's deformed ankle was carefully realigned before being immobilised for transport.
The casualty was then evacuated from the woodland using an EMAS HART Polaris vehicle to the roadhead, before being transferred to a waiting ambulance for onward transport to Royal Chesterfield Hospital.
