2026-38: Dovedale - Fallen Walker

The team was called on Monday 25th May 2026 to Dovedale following reports of a casualty who had fallen approximately six metres from rocks near the Stepping Stones, sustaining injuries to their back, arm and foot.

Team members deployed to the scene alongside East Midlands Ambulance Service, with the casualty assessed and transported to hospital for further treatment.

During the incident, the team was also alerted to a possible second emergency in the area following an automated phone alert. A search of the surrounding area was carried out, including use of the team drone, however no further casualties or persons requiring assistance were located.

While returning from the incident, team members also came across a road traffic collision involving a motorbike on the A515. The rider and passenger had fortunately avoided serious injury, however the damaged motorcycle and debris were obstructing the carriageway on a dangerous bend. Team members assisted with scene safety, casualty care and traffic management until the road was cleared.
