Just after 6pm on Wednesday 8th April, 2026 our third callout of the day, the team was requested by East Midlands Ambulance Service to assist a 70-year-old male who had fallen on the side of Thorpe Cloud, sustaining a suspected broken femur.
Team members assessed and treated the casualty on scene, administering pain relief and immobilising the injury using a traction splint.
He was then carefully loaded onto a team stretcher and carried off the hill to Thorpe, where he was transferred to a waiting ambulance.
