On the evening of Friday 23rd January, Derby Mountain Rescue Team's Drone Section was requested by Derbyshire Police to assist in the search for a high-risk missing person in the area surrounding Pride Park, Derby.

The callout coincided with Derby County’s home fixture against West Bromwich Albion, which ended in a 1–1 draw. With increased footfall in the area, the team coordinated closely with police to ensure the search operation was carried out safely and effectively.

Two drones were deployed to search sections of the River Derwent between Pride Park and Raynesway. Despite extensive aerial searches, nothing was found during the team's involvement. The search was concluded in the early hours of Saturday morning, with the team being stood down at 01:30 am.

We have since been informed by Derbyshire Police that the missing person has now been located.
