On Sunday 30th November Derby Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist West Midlands Ambulance Service with a 14-year-old boy who had fallen from a mountain bike sustaining a suspected fracture to his lower leg. He was treated on scene by WMAS but due to the terrain they had requested assistance from ourselves and Staffordshire Search And Rescue.

The boy was carried out to the road on our team stretcher and taken to hospital for further treatment.

A great example of multiple agencies working together to support the community.
