Whilst some of the team were attending the WALX Derwent and Dales walking festival in Ashbourne, and some of the water section were training in Matlock, the team were called out to three times in five hours.

CALLOUT 1 - 1:30pm Called out to a 15-year-old male who had been reported to have fallen around 20ft from a rope swing in Bradley Woods. He was treated on scene by the team and due to the possibility of serious injuries to his back and pelvis he was placed in a pelvic binder an vacuum mattress. He was handed over to East Midlands Ambulance Service and taken to the Royal Derby Hospital for further treatment. We've subsequently heard he has not sustained any serious injuries, but is quite battered and bruised.

CALLOUT 2 - 4:00pm A walker had slipped on loose ground on the riverside path at Thorpe Cloud. She was treated on scene for a fractured ankle by the team and Wetton and Alstonefield Community First Responders - WACFR. She was carried across the river on our stretcher (Pictured) and transferred to EMAS for onward transport to the Royal Derby Hospital.

CALLOUT 3 - 6:30pm The team were called out to a 13-year-old with an injured ankle in the Manifold Valley. The team were stood down en-route as the casualty had been evacuated by a West Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic
