The team were called out just after midnight (Thursday morning) by Derbyshire Police after a 74-year-old female had been reported missing.
The police had located CCTV footage of the missing person from 9pm on Wednesday evening. This gave the team a confirmed last known position and allowed us to concentrate our search plans. We're glad to report that on one of our search areas at approximately 4:30am the missing person was located by one of our team members 'safe and well' although cold and wet having been out for so Long. Following an assessment by the team, she was handed over to the care of East Midlands Ambulance service. A fantastic result that is a testament to the hours of training and hard work put in by all our volunteers.
