The first callout was from Staffordshire Fire & Rescue service to assist with a "crag fast" male at Thor's Cave . The male had exited via the notorious "West Window". his friend had exited the cave via the main entrance and upon realising his companion was in trouble had called for help. When he returned the male had managed to self-rescue. The team were stood down.

Shortly after returning to base, the team were called by Staffordshire Police requesting assistance at Ilam Hall. A lady had slipped and injured her ankle on muddy ground. She was assessed by the team, her ankle was splinted and she was carried to the main car park by stretcher. She was taken to hospital by a friend for further treatment. The team were stood down and returned to base ready for the next callout.
