Posted by on

The team were called out just after 9am this morning (Saturday 27th November) to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service in reaching a 91-year-old male with a suspected Stroke.

A team vehicle, team members and one of the team's Paramedics attended the callout. Upon reaching the casualty, they coordinated with EMAS and moved the casualty to the main road for easier and faster access to hospital. The man was handed over to the EMAS crew and he was taken to hospital for further assistance.

The journey there and back was quite eventful with many vehicles stranded in the snow. The team vehicle escorted a nurse through to Buxton so she could complete here community visits.
