The team were called out just before 8am this morning to a 54-year-old male with an ankle injury. The man had been out walking his dog at Thorpe Cloud when he caught his foot in a rabbit hole.
He requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue via the Police and was attempting to make his way back to the stepping stones.
Several local team members quickly met up with him and ensured his safe return off the hill. His Dachshund dog got the 5-star treatment, including being carried across the stepping stones by team member Toby. (Although we think this was more for Toby's benefit!)
The rest of the team were stood down, concluding callout 72 of 2021.
