Missing Person Search. The team were called out by Derbyshire Constabulary just after midnight this morning to search for a 71-year-old male who was missing in the Willingtion/Twyford area just outside Derby.
Police had located the missing person's car in the area. A command point was established, a search plan was formulated and team members searched farm and woodland areas. We also requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England.
As one of the handlers was arriving on scene they spotted the missing male wandering along a lane. The man was warmed up in our control vehicle, checked over by one of our Paramedics and handover to the care of the Police safe and well. The team stood down, returned the vehicles to the garage at around 5am and made them ready for the next callout.
