The team were called out around 3pm on Sunday (8th August) to a fallen horse rider near Knockerdown. A lady had been out riding when she was thrown from her horse injuring her back. She was treated on scene by East Midlands Ambulance Service and Derby Mountain Rescue Team for suspected back/c-spine and pelvic injuries. She was evacuated from the field to the roadhead by the team. We've subsequently been contacted by the lady thanking the team and letting us know she has fractured the lower part of her spine, but is on the road to recovery. #Horse #FallenRider #FracturedSpine #PHEM
