The team were called out just before noon on July 25th 2021 after a 6-year-old boy had fallen at Lover's Leap, Dovedale sustaining a fractured femur. He was treated on scene for a fractured femur by the team and the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity helimed crew. A fantastic bit of flying from the pilot allowed for repositioning the helicopter directly at Lover's Leap ensuring a fast transfer to hospital with the least discomfort for the casualty. Apologies for any inconvenience caused as foot-traffic on the path was temporarily closed off to allow for the safe landing of the helicopter and the safety of passers by.
