2021-25: Thor's Cave

Our second callout in two hours and fifth in five days

Posted by on

Just as the team were handing over from Callout 2021-24 we were contacted again at 3:30pm by West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) requesting assistance at Thor's Cave. A 57-year-old male had fallen in the cave sustaining a back injury. The man was treated by WMAS, a Doctor who happened to be nearby and the team. The casualty was placed in our Vacuum Mattress to minimise the movement to his back, carried out of the cave on our stretcher to the main path and handed over to WMAS who transported him to the Royal Stoke Hospital for further treatment.
