And we're off... Our first callout of 2021, the team were called out to Thorpe Cloud just before 2pm today to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service.
A 24yr female had sustained a suspected fractured ankle whilst walking at Thorpe Cloud. An S92 Coastguard Helicopter was requested to assist but as it was arriving on scene had to turn back due to an incoming snow front. The team sledged the casualty down into Lin Dale and out through Thorpe Pasture where she was handed over to the care of an ambulance crew. She was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital for further treatment.
