The team were called out by the duty Peak District Controller at 1pm on Wednesday. A couple had been out walking in Dovedale when one of them slipped injuring her leg. They reported the location using what3words, this was converted to an OS Grid Reference in Lin Dale. The female, in her 30s, had fallen whilst walking around the bottom of Thorpe Cloud. She was treated for a suspected fracture by the team and carried by stretcher to the road. Having become very cold whilst laying on the ground, she was placed in the back of a team member's vehicle with the heaters on to warm her up while we waited for a land ambulance.
She was transferred to the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service who transported her to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital for further treatment.
