It was a busy Saturday for the team. Some of our Water Section attended a water training exercise with Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service in the morning. On their way back to base they stopped at a two-vehicle Road Traffic Collision on the A515 nr. Hartington.
Just after returning to base, the team were called out to Grindon by West Midlands Ambulance Service; A 59-year-old lady had suffered a lower leg injury. An Ambulance crew and Community First Responder were on scene and treated the lady for her injuries. She was evacuated by the team by stretcher to a nearby farm and transported by road to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
This is a placeholder post for a recent callout. We're currently gathering all the details and will update this blog post soon. Check back later for the full story!
