The team were called out on Thursday 29th May by Derbyshire Constabulary to a fallen climber in Matlock Bath. The climber had fallen while leading a multi-pitch route at Wild Cat crag, sustaining a broken leg. Both the lead and second were secure on a high ledge, where they remained until the team arrived. Using a "single person rescue" the injured climber was brought down to a lower ledge, transferred to our stretcher and taken to an East Midlands Ambulance Service Land Ambulance. He was transferred to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield for further treatment.

This is our 4th callout in 5 days. We were joined by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity on the scene and EMAS HART team were also on standby.
