Team called by Midlands Air Ambulance to a walker with a lower leg injury

Posted by on

The team were called out at 1:40pm to assist Midlands Air Ambulance Charity with a 37-year-old female who had sustained a leg injury. The lady had been walking at #ThorpeCloud #Dovedale #Thorpe when she injured her leg. She was treated on scene by the MAA paramedics and Comunity First Responders. She was then transferred to a West Midlands Ambulance Service HQ land ambulance and taken to hospital for further treatment.

A very good example of interagency cooperation and teamwork (as always!) Following our Covid19 protocols, we were able to limit the number of team members in direct contact with the casualty (and each other) although we are obviously unable to maintain a two-metre distance at all times. Team vehicles and kit returned to base, cleaned, repacked and ready for our next callout. Team members also returned home with an increased level of decontamination and kit repacking than normal.
