Derby Mountain Rescue Team were called at 14:45 on Saturday 8th June 2019 to reports of an unconscious female at Shining Bank Quarry near Alport.

The team attended the scene to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service(EMAS) with a 60-year-old female who had been feeling faint and reportedly had been unconscious.

Upon arrival, the lady was found to be conscious and was treated by the EMAS crew and transported back to the road by team vehicle, she was handed over to the care of the EMAS crew.

The team returned to base and the vehicles were made ready for the next callout.
