Team called to fallen walker on Thorpe Cloud

The team were called out at 10am on Wednesday 22 May 2019 to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a fallen walker on Thorpe Cloud.

The man, who was in his fifties, had been walking his dog when he slipped on the track leading to Thorpe Pasture. Fortunately, he had phone signal and was able to call for an ambulance. He was treated on scene by the team and the EMAS Ambulance Crew for a suspected fracture to his lower leg/ankle, before being carried on the team stretcher off the hill to the Land Ambulance. The casualty was then taken to the Royal Derby Hospital for further treatment.
