The team received a call from EMAS on Tuesday 17th September at 5:15pm. A 78-year old man had fallen off his mobility scooter whilst on the Tissington Trail and ended up at the bottom of an embankment with multiple superficial injuries and a fracture dislocation of the right ankle. He was treated by HART and EMAS with assistance from the team before being recovered from the bottom of the slope using a rope system and evacuated on a stretcher to a waiting Air Ambulance and taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.
