On Friday 30th August the team were called to High Tor, along with EMAS, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). A report had been received that a paraglider had crashed at the base of high tor and was stuck in the trees. On arrival at the RV it was found that the casualty was one of three BASE jumpers. His chute had failed to open correctly and he had landed in the trees, he was able to release himself and self-rescued. He was assessed for injuries, and none found so the team was stood down and returned to base.
