As the team were finishing training on Sunday we were called to assist Staffordshire Police with the search for a missing person near Dovedale. After some initial deployment planning the team were put on standby. As we set off from training we were contacted again to say the missing person had returned and were safe and well. The team were stood down. Our training scenario was for a lady who had been searching for her lost dog with a friend. The lady, the friend and the dog were all missing and a search was conducted. Upon locating the exercise casualties, we found the lady was suffering from a severe asthma attack and the male had fallen breaking his arm and sustaining a head injury. Both gave a chance to practice our medical skills and they were evacuated back to the road.
