The team were called out at 1am on Wednesday 31st of August to assist Derbyshire Police with a missing person search.
The team were contacted by the duty controller shortly after 1am to undertake a search for a missing person in the Wirksworth area.
Our control vehicle was mobilised and the wider team were placed on standby. A search plan was put together and the team, along with Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England search dogs Griff and Dottie and their handlers, were deployed around 2:30am to search an area agreed with the Police search adviser. The search areas were completed by 5am and the team were stood down with no sightings of the missing person within the search areas. Search dog Willow was stood down whilst en route.
Subsequently the missing person was located by the Police in Wirksworth at around midday.
