The team were called out yesterday (Sunday) at 10:30 am to reports of CPR in progress.
A couple had been cycling the Tissington trail when the 74-year-old male had collapsed. A passer-by had commenced CPR which was continued by team members, community first responders and East Midlands Ambulance Service. Two Helimed resources were also mobilised.
Sadly despite the efforts of all involved the man was unable to be resuscitated. He was taken by team stretcher to the roadhead and handed over to the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.
