Team called to 74 year-old male with injured ankle

Posted by on

The team were called out to Alport at midday yesterday (8/12/20) to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a 74-year-old male with an ankle injury.

The man was treated on scene by the team and the EMAS crew.

His leg was supported with a Vacuum splint (pictured) before he was carried by stretcher back to the road-head and transferred to the care of the Ambulance crew and taken to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital for further treatment.

We are still following our covid 19 protocols, so not only is PPE used throughout, but also the vehicles and equipment are 'decontaminated' back at the team garage.
