Team called to Dovedale to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service

Posted by on

The team were called out at 4:30pm yesterday evening to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a casualty who had fallen at Dovedale. A lady had been out walking with her husband enjoying their wedding anniversary when she slipped on the path leading up to Thorpe Cloud injuring her ankle. As the river was in full spate she was carried on the EMAS scoop up towards Lin Dale. Where she was met by the new "Mobile 2" and driven back up to the main road, before being transferred back to the care of the EMAS crew. As you can see from the photo... 5pm means rush hour traffic in Thorpe!

Whilst on the way to callout 35, Mobile 2 came across an RTC that was attended by Derbyshire Constabulary, as no ambulance was on scene the crew stopped to see if any immediate medical assistance was required, handing over the casualties to the fire service upon their arrival.
