Posted by on

The team were called out just before 9 pm on Monday 5th August to assist East Midlands Ambulance after a 30-year-old female had been thrown from her horse.

She was treated on scene by an East Midlands Ambulance Service(EMAS) crew and the team for suspected c-spine injuries having been thrown forward over the horse's head onto the ground.

Having been placed in our Vacuum mattress to stabilise her spine, she was transferred to our stretcher and carried down the footpath to the road and onto the ambulance.

She was transported by the EMAS crew to Chesterfield Royal Hospital for further treatment.
