Summer Solstice revellers require Mountain Rescue

Posted by on

Yesterday, on the summer solstice, the team were called out at 09:30am to the Nine Ladies at Stanton Moor. A male who had been out celebrating the longest day of the year was reported to have been having a medical issue related to suspected drug use.

The man was treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) on scene and stretchered off the moor by team stretcher to the waiting land ambulance. He was taken to the Royal Chesterfield Hospital for further treatment.

During the callout a second ambulance had been called to a female who was reported to be suffering the affects of alcohol. She was assessed by an EMAS crew, but no further treatment was required.
