Join Derby Mountain Rescue at Kedleston Park
The Derby Mountain Rescue Team are holding their annual Stroll In The Park event in the beautiful grounds of Kedleston Park on June 1st. Everyone is invited to join the team to take a stroll along one of 3 walks, which range from 3K to 9K, and to meet the team and find out more about their work and the specialized equipment and vehicles they use. People are encouraged to bring picnics and enjoy a great day out for all the family whilst raising money for a valuable public service.
This is one of the major fund raising events of the year for the team, who rely entirely on public donations to operate. Participants are asked to pay £10 per vehicle to register, regardless of the number of occupants. This includes the registration fee, car parking and entrance to the park. Larger groups are also welcome to take part in the event and a group registration form is available for such parties. Team members will be available to lead groups upon request.
Participants are also invited to raise additional funds for the team by collecting sponsorship or donations for taking part in the walks. Unfortunately, the walks may be difficult for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
