Cromford Walk In Aid Of Team

 

On Sunday (May 20th), a sponsored walk was held in support of the team,starting and ending at Cromford.  The walk was organised by keen outdoors enthusiasts Jane King and Jacqui Keeling, who jointly organise a sponsred walk each year, at different locations, in aid of a different charity.

The 7 mile route took in some of the hills and woods of the surrounding areas, visiting many sites of historical interest, all of which were expertly detailed in the walk guides handed out to participants.

Around 30 people took part in the walk, including many non-walkers, for whom the route was perhaps slightly tougher than they had imagined, but all were in agreemnt that they had enjoyed the day.

The route culminated in cream-teas, laid on by the organisers ,at the end point of the walk.
