Cathedral Abseil 2013

Last weekend (5th/6th October) saw the team hold it's Sponsored Abseil of Derby Cathedral in conjunction with the Derby Cathedral Chapter.

Forty severn plucky particpants abseiled from the 214ft tower of Derby's landmark building, the second highest church tower in the country, all raising funds for both the team and the Cathedral itself. Abseilers ranged in age from 14 right up to 92 and including several dressed as a variety of animals including a couple of rams, a giraffe and a unicorn.

Figures are not complete yet, but early indications show that the event raised in the region of £7,000, to be divided between the team and the Cathedral
