The team were called to Thors Cave, in the Manifold valley, where a man had fallen 50ft down from the path, sustaining arm, face and head injuries. Fire and ambulance services were already on scene when the team arrived. The team placed the man on our stretcher and used a rope system to lower the stretcher, whilst it was carried by DMRT members, down the slope and across the river to a waiting air ambulance.
