The team were called at 10am this morning to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a fallen walker in woodland at Tansley, near Matlock. A man had just started on a pre-lunch walk with his wife when he slipped and fell, fracturing his right femur. He was treated by the EMAS Paramedic, a team Doctor and a team Advanced First Aider.
The man was carried back to the road on our wheeled stretcher, and transferred to the Land Ambulance Crew who took him to Northern General for further treatment.

Fifteen volunteer team members were involved. The vehicles have been returned to base, re-fuelled and re-stocked, ready for our next callout.
