2017_2 Thorpe Cloud

The team were called along with Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Base to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service on the afternoon of Sunday 5 Feb 2017.

A 36 year-old lady had fallen, sustaining a lower leg injury, whilst walking at Thorpe Cloud with her family. She was given pain relief, her ankle was splinted and she carried to the DLRAA Helicopter (G-MEDX).
The area was secured by team members to allow the helicopter to take off safely. The lady was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital for further treatment.

We're pleased to report that after an operation the lady is now recovering at home.
