2017_1 Bunster Hill

Our first callout of 2017 was just after 6pm on Saturday 21 Jan, when a couple in their 30s, who were staying near Ilam, had been out walking around the Dovedale area when they ran out of daylight; and became lost. With the lack of light and the significant drop in temperature they grew increasingly concerned for their own safety and decided to call for help. As they were not sure of their exact location, the couple were located using Sarloc Rescue, a system which allows search teams to locate a smartphone.

The team were quickly with the couple and walked them back to the safety of their accommodation.

Our vehicles and kit were returned to base and made ready for our next callout.
