Hartington

The team were called yesterday evening to farmland near Hartington where a 12 year old boy had had an incident on a quadbike. 16 team members, an East Midlands Ambulance 4x4 vehicle and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance attended the scene. The casualty had sustained a chest injury and was treated by the DLRAA crew before being loaded by the team onto the helicopter and flown to hospital for further treatment.

  • I was out walking along the footpath with my husband when we saw the helicopter landing in the distance. There was a large team of cars for mountain rescue. I hope the boy is ok now, he must have been in a bad way, we were very concerned.
