Robin Hood's Stride

The team were called out yesterday evening to a 20 year old woman who had become cragfast while scrambling around the side of Robin Hood's Stride near Birchover. A couple from Winster had been out walking and attempted to reach the top of Robin Hood's Stride, unfortunately the woman was unable to get to the top and also couldn't climb back down. With the light fading they realised they required help and called 999. A total of Sixteen mountain rescue volunteers from Derby Mountain Rescue Team attended the callout. The team secured the lady to ensure she could not fall and assisted her over the top. The team walked the couple back down to safety and gave them a lift back to their vehicle.
