As team members returned to Dovedale to continue fundraising after the previous incident at High Tor, the team received a call to say that a 36yo woman had suffered a painful leg injury whilst trying to walk down a steep slope high above the Stepping Stones where the team were stationed.
Mountain rescue personnel were able to quickly climb up to the casualty and provide treatment. She was then lowered down the steep ground on a stretcher protected by rope backup systems, which were strategically rigged along the route to the ground. She was then carried through the river to a waiting ambulance to be taken to hospital for further treatment.
