Black Rocks, Cromford

Derby Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) at around 12noon on Saturday 20th June. A man in his twenties had been walking in woodland near Black Rocks, Wirksworth, when he fell injuring the upper part of his right leg. Derby Mountain Rescue Team, EMAS and a Community First Responder all attended the scene. The man’s leg was put in a specialist traction splint and due to the nature of the ground was carried out of the woodland to a Land Ambulance on the team’s mountain rescue stretcher. He was taken to hospital for further treatment.
