Team called by EMAS along with Sea King, Rescue 128, to evacuate a 64-year-old trail bike rider who had gone over his handle bars and broken both bones in his lower left leg. He was taken to Chesterfield Hospital.

A 32-year-old female dropped her child off at the nursery on the morning of 11 June 2008 and then went missing; they live adjacent to parkland and she was known to have recently visited Beacon Hill Country Park; Team call out was in progress when she was found by the Police and reported to be alive and well.

Team called to evacuate 54 year-old-female casualty who suffered a dislocated shoulder and severe lacerations to her hands and arms when she fell about 2 metres onto rocky ground and tried to save a collision with a barbed wire fence. Most of the Team were involved in the previous call. Buxton MRT provided most of the attendance at this incident.

The Team were called together with members of the Buxton and edale MRTs to search for a 56 year-old vulnerable male who had been missing from the care centre in which he resides since 22 May 2008. He was not found despite an extensive search in the area around the care centre but was found soon afterwards nearly 2 Km away in woodland.

The Team was called to assist EMAS and DLRAA personnel with the evacuation of a climber from the foot of the crag to the Air Ambulance. The 52 year-old male had been climbing when his hand hold came off and he fell to the bottom of the crag, he was placed onto a spinal board for evacuation.

At the end of the previous incident Team members met a PC in the Car Park, he described a missing 29 year-old female who's car had been left in the car park, he asked Team members to inform the Derbys Police Operations room if she was seen. A number of Team members responded by carrying out an initial search of the area around Black Rock. The missing person called home as this search was getting under way.

The Team were called to assist the EMAS and DLRAA (Derbys, Leics and Rutland Air Ambulance) staff with the evacuationof a 14 year old male from the bottom of the crag after he had passed out while climbing with a top rope and while under instruction.

The Team were called to search for a missing 53 year old despondent male. His car was located in the car park of the White House Public House. He had been seen leaving the car park and going in a northerly direction at around 19:15hrs on 29 May 2008. He was found in woodland, his condition was stabilised and he was then evacuated by stretcher to the road side where care was transferred to the Ambulance Service, who took him to hospital.

The Team were called to search for a 49 year-old female vulnerable missing person who had gone missing from home. Her car was found at a remote Cannock Chase Car park. As the Team were assembling and being briefed for the search the West Midlands Police Helicopter had a sighting, a Policeman on a bicycle and a section from the Team were directed to the location. The Missing Person had severe lacerations to her lower left leg and was cold. She was treated by the Team members, accompanied to the road head and transferred to Hospital.

: Black Hill, S Yorkshire
While the Team were providing safety cover for the 4 Inns walk one of the competeing teams walked into boggy ground during a heavy snow shower just South of the Black Hill trig point. One of the members of this competing team lost their footwear, they stopped and took shelter in the bivvy tent they were carrying. Members from the Team were at Crowden, they drove up to Holme Moss on roads covered with wet snow to about 4 cm depth, found the competing team provided additional clothing and footwear and walked them off. The total time of the activity was 2 hours at the end of which the sun was shining and the snow had virtually all melted.

: Wildboar Clough, Bleaklow
The Team were called during a joint exercise with the North Midland Air Support Unit helicopter G-NMID to go to the aid of a male, cragfast on a face at the top of Wild Boar Clough.Team members were spread across Bleaklow, they made for the casualty site when the exercise was aborted. The helicopter was utilised to carry personnel and equipment to the cas site, it was not able to land there but hovered while the personnel and equipment was unloaded.The incident was in the Glossop Team prime area, they were the first call and arrived at the casualty site with the first Derby Team members, they assisted the casualty from his location and walked him off. He was not injured but was suffering from the cold.

: Tankersley Golf Course, S Yorks
Woodhead MRT were called in the late evening of 29 January 2008 to search for a 49 year old male missing from home. His car was found in the Tankersley Golf Course Car Park and area he knew well. Edale MRT and Derby MRT were called at first light 30 January 2008 to continue and extend the search. The missing person was found at 08:00 hrs and certified dead, MR personnel evacuated him to the road.

: Alfreton/Mansfield Parkway Station
The Team was called to search for a 42 year old male who left his home to take his dog for a walk and to watch a peregrine falcon that was reported in the locality. When he did not return his family went to look for him, they did not find him but did find the dog by the bank of a swollen brook. The Team search was based on this location, the search included members of the Search and Rescue Dog Association and the Police helicopter. Despite a number of indications from the dogs he was not within the search area of about 2 Km around the location of the dog. Sadly his body was found the next morning some 2.25 Km from this location caught on a pipe crossing the Alfreton Brook.

: Kingsway Hospital Grounds, Derby
A vulnerable 51 year old male was missing from his sheltered accommodation in Kingsway Hospital at 16:10 on 29 December 2007. The Team were called to search the hospital grounds and the adjacent areas. The search took nearly 5 hours to complete and concluded thaty he was not in the area searched. He was found by West Yorkshire Police walking along a motorway near to Leeds City Centre on the morning of 31/12/07.

: Spotted Cow PH, Holbrook, Derbys
A 77 year old male was last seen in Holbrook at 10:45 am on Thursday 6 December 2007. He suffers from short term memory loss and had gone to see his carer after problems with his gas boiler. By 17:00 there was concern for his wellbeing and he was reported to the Police as missing. Police enquiries failed to locate him so the Team was called at 1:35 am on Friday morning to search the area around the village. This search which concluded that he was not in the area was completed by 9:45 am. At about this time he was located safe and well in a care home in the local town of Heanor.

: Foxton Locks Country Park, Leics
50 year old female went missing from home on 12/11/07 on her way to work. Her car was found at the Foxton Locks Country Park Car Park at around 03:00 hrs 13/11/07. Team called at 10:05 together with Police carried out a search around the Foxton Locks on the Grand Union Canal. She was not in this area. The Police extended the search to key points along the canal to the NW on 14/11/07. She returned home safe and well at 02:00 15/11/07 having been in the region of the canal to the SW.

Team placed on standby for a search of farmland for a missing 45 year old male whose car had been foumd on a country lane. The search was cpompleted by the Police and ALSAR, the Team were stood down

Team Leader was called for advice regarding a search for a missing person within hospital grounds. The Team skills were not required for this search.

: Thorpe Cloud, Dovedale, Derbys.
A 10 year-old boy was on the scree near the top of Thorpe Cloud when he was struck on the head by a stone that had either been dislodged or thrown from further up the scree. A member of the Public alerted the Team members taking part in a Public relations event in the dale. They met the boy being carried by his parents on the riverside path, assessed his condition treated a 1 inch cut to his head and called an EMAS ambulance, which transported him to the DRI.

: S E side of Bunster Hill, Dovedale, Staffs
Team members taking part in a photo shoot saw a 11 year old girl slip from the side of a rock spur and fall down a tree covered slope for about 30-40 foot between the trees and through the undergrowth. She was reassured, treated for cuts to Right Arm and Leg then guided down a rope that had been rigged leading to the main path.

The Team were called to assist in the evacuation of a US female casualty reported to have a fractured lower left leg. On arrival the Team members found that she was being evacuated by the Alstonefield first responders. The Team were not involved and stood down.

: Dovedale, Lover's Leap
The Team were holding an exercise in Dovedale when they were told by a member of the public that an elderly lady had suffered a leg injury further up the dale. A party were sent to investigate, they met a relative en route, he was in a distressed state. The lady was found to be suffering from medical conditions, she was stabilised and evacuated by stretcher. Care was transferred to EMAS at the Stepping Stones. The relative was found suffering from a severe asthmatic attack, was given Oxygen. He self administered his own medication and was walked off.
